Welcome to you all

This blog has seen a lot more activity than usual recently. I got a huge number of visits over the 10:10 film business (showing that it helps to be up early and catch the day's main events fast), and some of that interest seems to have stuck. This blog is now linked to from a number of more popular blogs (thanks a lot, chaps) and this is driving a lot of the new traffic.

This really does surprise and amaze me. I started this blog a little over a year ago, expecting it to be mainly a conversation with myself - a kind of online secret diary. But visits are now averaging nearly 100 a day, and I am getting linked to from all sorts of places. I am also showing high up in the search results in Google on certain issues. Best of all is the geographical breadth of coverage. I have had visits from every continent except Antarctica, and although the majority of visitors are based in the UK, there are a number of regulars from the States and Australia/New Zealand. Since I registered the blog with Wikio, I have seen a rise in the number of European visitors too. It's very odd to follow a link back and see your own blogpost translated into Spanish!

    Olá! Percy. O aquecimento global é uma coisa boa. Tivemos um verão lindo aqui. Acho que é quase verão na Antártida agora. Não foi possível encontrar nada melhor para fazer com que Franny mandá-la para casa? Eu teria pensado que você estava desesperado por companhia feminina lá. Mas sim, ela é muito gengibre.
