    Presumably it was in the US, if so (a) he may have had a gun, and, (b) if they help him & he slips, he could sue?

  3. True enough, although if he had been armed he was hardly in a position to aim straight (assuming he could find the gun, as he seemed to be having enough trouble finding his own feet). As to being sued, would he even remember where he had been?

    If I had been there, I would have helped him to his feet and gently guided him to the door before he could damage anything. He seemed quite affable in his cups.
