I was out at the club pub meet tonight and saw this beauty:
It's a Triumph Model N, a side-valve 500 single from 1927. The owner is Phil, the proprietor of Lamo's Motorcycles, and he has another seven similar bikes in his 'shed'. Lucky chap.
It's a delight that bikes like this are still around and, more to the point, being used. This bike was not concours, but was in good, clean working condition, and the doff-doff sounds it made on arrival and departure were very evocative.
One day, I'll have something like this.
Oh, and here's the gang, just for the record.
Lovely, aren't they?
That bike is a beauty, I have to agree that it does look "right"
