I'm sure I will have more to say in due course, when my head stops spinning, but here are the headline stats from the trip.
Total miles: 2421
Total fuel: 218.55 litres
Average fuel consumption: 50.36 mpg [1]
Longest day's ride: 584 miles (Vorselaar in Belguim to Kolind in Denmark, 12 hours approx)
Best mileage from a tank: 295
Most expensive fuel: £1.25/litre (country filling station in Netherlands)
Cheapest fuel: £1.03/litre (small town in Denmark)
Fuel prices by country (approx averages):
France £1.13
Belgium £1.20
Netherlands £1.23
Germany £1.17
UK £1.10.
[1] I am pretty much amazed by this. The Pan is a big heavy beast, and normally returns about 38 mpg on local runs. This figure was mainly achieved on fast motorway riding at between 80 and 100 mph, with a rider full of continental food, and carrying a full load of camping gear, which was very bulky - neither of these things are light or very aerodynamic.
