    Beige jacket, corduroys and a deerstalker. I'm not altogether surprised that black leathers just edged the fashion battle in the end...

    Agreed. You don't see the Paris catwalk today with sexy little 'lambretta chic' numbers in nice beige. Black leather does it every time.
