Two quotes today that made me chuckle (I've been in the car a lot, listening to R4) -
Peter Robinson, on his wife's illness:
"Iris is having acute psychiatric treatment ..."
I didn't get any further than "Iris is having a cute psych ..." before choking on my sandwich.
News bulletin on the LibDems' new non-pledges:
"Nick Clegg says the Liberal Democrats are dropping their pledges on the elderly."
Ouch.
Funny - Well spotted - I listened to R2 for the first time in n years and actually quite enjoyed it - quite uplifting and cheerful really.

ReplyDeleteI'll bet she has. Apparently she has another DUP member, the lad's father, and one of the guards from her home security to add to the list. Peter Robinson must be feeling pretty shattered by all of that coming out, even if he knew some of it already.
Mind you, I would. Nothing nicer than a well-kept older woman with a sparkle in her eye.
