Bluntly, nuclear power kills people, but it kills for fewer (FAR fewer) than any other form of baseload generation. And if you think that all our energy requirements (even the massively reduced requirements that the Greens would have by sending us all back to the Middle Ages) can be supplied by renewables, then you are either living in cloud cuckoo land, or you are deliberately deceiving your readers. The world desperately needs a massive programme of new nuclear installations, and thank goodness that at least one of you guys has seen the truth of that.

I don't criticise someone for reviewing the evidence and changing his mind; I respect him for it.Richardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15743685798068014455noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7099099432720184584.post-48638380209767929892011-03-29T18:50:48.265+01:002011-03-29T18:50:48.265+01:00I've written a thorough rebuttal of Monbiot...I've written a thorough rebuttal of Monbiot's pieces supporting nuclear power:
http://cooltheearth.wordpress.com/2011/03/29/why-george-monbiot-is-wrong-on-nuclear-power/Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7099099432720184584.post-61497324798354701082011-03-22T18:38:16.539+00:002011-03-22T18:38:16.539+00:00I liked the reply:
